Architecture

Technology is our fire—it fuels us, but the responsibility of wielding it lies in our hands. As we move forward, architecture must embrace openness, adaptation, and ecological intelligence. It is no longer about singular visions imposed on the world but about guiding ecosystems of knowledge, weaving together material innovation, collective intelligence, and environmental foresight.

In Open Source Architecture, Carlo Ratti and his co-authors describe the Promethean Architect as a figure of the early 20th century—one who sought totalising control over form and function. However, today’s architect must move beyond this singular, top-down vision and instead act as a facilitator, embracing collaboration, technological fluidity, and material intelligence. This shift resonates deeply with our practice at Anomalia.

We believe architecture is no longer an isolated act but a continuous dialogue between disciplines, materials, and human engagement. At Anomalia, we work at the intersection of architecture, research, and material science, fostering an open, iterative design process. Our explorations in alternative materials, computational tools, and sustainable construction are driven by a shared commitment to rethink how we build.

Looking back, my journey has traversed design, real estate, and material sciences, each layer shaping how I approach architecture today. Anomalia was born from the desire to challenge convention, to explore materials like mycelium, and to rethink architecture as a medium of consciousness.

Projects have been both my radical provocateurs and my grounding forces

Plastic bottle bricks, eco cooler blocks, adobe construction

Hands of Thought – A school where we merged adobe and eco-cooler bricks, fusing traditional wisdom with sustainable innovation.

Smog Cathedral - Casa Mila

Smog Cathedral – A speculative intervention that reimagines Gaudí’s Casa Milà as a metabolic entity, engaging technology, material science, and environmental preservation.

Venice, futuristic plan, X-Urban

Society of Venice 2.0 – A responsive floating urban infrastructure designed for a sinking city, integrating computational design and ecological strategies.

Each project reaffirmed my belief: architecture isn’t just about form—it’s about guiding knowledge, orchestrating interactions, and shaping futuresAt Anomalia, we are constantly evolving—not as solitary designers, but as collaborators in an ongoing conversation about the built environmen
