Research

We're thrilled to announce that our project, MycoMuseum in collaboration with MYCL, Indonesia, has been selected for the 19th International Architecture Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia, curated by Professor Carlo Ratti. This prestigious honor recognises our team's dedication to innovative and sustainable design.

The 19th International Architecture Exhibition, titled "Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.," will explore the theme of adaptation in the face of climate change. As Carlo Ratti stated, "Architecture must become as flexible and dynamic as the world we are now designing for."

Our Journey to La Biennale di Venezia

In May 2024, we submitted our application under the "Space for Ideas" open call, which invited architects and designers worldwide to exhibit under the curator's platform. We were selected under the sub-category "Matter Make Sense," co-curated by Professor Ingrid Paoletti, Full Professor in Architectural Technology at Politecnico di Milano.

Our exhibition will showcase Anomalia MycoBlox, sustainable building blocks made from mushroom mycelium. This project highlights the potential of mycelium-based materials in revolutionising the built environment. The exhibition will run from May 10 to November 23, 2025, at the Giardini, the Arsenale, and the Forte Marghera.

A Global Platform for Sustainable Innovation

We're proud to be part of this global platform, which brings together over 750 participants from diverse backgrounds, including architects, engineers, mathematicians, climate scientists, philosophers, artists, and more.

Representing India's Innovative Spirit

Notably, India is not officially participating in the 2025 La Biennale di Venezia. However, we're proud to be the only independent Indian design practice selected for this esteemed exhibition. This recognition is a milestone for us, and we're grateful for the opportunity to represent India's innovative spirit on the global stage.

We're deeply humbled to be recognised alongside renowned architects and experts in the field. We look forward to contributing to the conversations and debates that will take place during the exhibition.

Stay tuned for updates on our La Biennale di Venezia journey!
